These are just  2  of the many chairs that Cristy has collected..she has such a great eye for good chairs..if I could have , I would have taken these home..

I really liked this ‘father ~daughter’ picture

Now we are going to put those Kayak’s to use. The lake we are on is Lake Harris, We had a blast! This was something we had talked about since I had arrived…we just needed to spray for those pesky mosquitoes first.

‘Pocahontas’ is waiting for her turn…

Here she goes

Cristy and Jade,   paddle, paddle, paddle

Now it is my turn

I think Aaron gave me a head start..

See , he already caught up and passed me!

Yayyy, I made it !I didn’t even fall overboard…whew

Having a bit of  fun

There she goes again…

Aaron and Jade

Aaron said that he was trying to be like his sister while taking this picture

Such a fun day! Now time to head home

I just love these trees, never grow tired of them!

Peri’s perspective….taking after her Auntie Boog …Look at that pinky, just like her mom!

‘now let’s see how they will look after I mix them up a bit’

‘Gramma, why are you taking my picture?’

I loved this one..she is trying to snap the picture with her chin because she is  holding the flower and the camera…..Aaron said Peri took about 200 pictures with his phone…haha

Just having fun

Peri loves to collect rocks. This was an every day occurrence after school.

Mmmmm…whatcha cookin Jadey…..

So sweet! A cake for Gma! Thank you my Jadey Girl

Now get busy baking!

It is Jadey’s turn to have ‘Gma’ walk her to the bus stop….I know that I NEVER looked this cute in the morning to go to school….

Bye honey, have a good day.

New patio furniture…this ‘worker’ just showed up and put it all together. What a good guy.

Oh wait…he even had a pretty helper..

Kayak’s ..I had to take this so his Dad could see how nice he hung them up…by the way Aaron, Dad was impressed with how you hung these!

Getting the yard ready for Peri’s party

Some necessary tree trimming

The Pogo Queen…

Cristy saying,’hey Aaron, I was just thinkin’

Peri was so excited about this little guy…

Mr. Salamander..

But I don’t think he is going to be attending the party, he was placed, very gently, back into his own surroundings.

This girl can make AND have fun out of almost anything

She is having so much fun! I love watching her…

Daddy joins in on the fun

Then Jade joins in…Cristy is in the kitchen making her famous potato salad!!!! Yummmm

Ready for the festivities to begin..

Jade was very busy making and decorating all of the cupcakes..they were yummy and pretty

Simply Lovely

The first phase of the party was at a gymnasium. Peri had a blast and loved that her friends were able to join her..

They let me go out onto the mats to take all of the pictures… I kept saying to myself as I followed these little ones around ,   ‘don’t fall’, ‘don’t fall ‘, ‘don’t fall’

Lots of tumbling and bouncing

Look at that  HAPPY  birthday girl ! What a cutie!!

Weeeeee

Daddy , Mommy and Jade watched as she was hoisted up into the air in this contraption…I think they wanted to do this too.

Girls just wanna have fun!

Taking a rest for more fun and refreshments

Jade, I think the cupcakes were a hit!

Hmmm, I wonder if she is excited …hehehe

Now ..on to the party at home

All ready for the fire

So excited about her books…I think the ENTIRE day was a huge success….

This is one ACTIVE family! Now a day of playing  Ultimate Frisbie.

Relaxing and watching the activities

Jade is the best!!! They call her the ‘cherry picker’

Way to go Jade!

And she does it again!

That is her happy dance…hahaha, so cute

This is another team on the other side of the field…notice her Dad is playing too…way to go Aaron

There she goes..

She SCORES!!!!

I think I see ‘Edward’ peeking out of those trees….

North Carolina Fun! ~ Part 1

30 Aug

In May, I flew to North Carolina to visit Aaron, Cristy, Jade and Peri. I had a wonderful time visiting them and seeing more of North Carolina. Here are some of the things we saw and did.

The Magnolia trees are sooo gorgeous! If I could have I would have taken a tree home. But I don’t think I can grow them in Utah….boo hooo

On one of our outings,we went to a place called Wilmington. It was lovely.

These trees were so awesome looking…don’t know what they are called but look at how cool the trunk is…

Look at this beauty! She is growing up so fast…She is looking sooo much like her Mommy!

Loving sisters…so cute.

I thought this was so cool looking. Plus it gave me something to do while waiting in line to get into the ice cream shop..in the SWELTERING heat I might add..

The inside was really nice, and refreshing!

Yummmmm

Love the old architecture

This is so unique…people leave their old keys on this fence..I like the look of it. Maybe I could start this in Utah, haha….I have tons of keys from CA. But I don’t know how the ‘Utahans’ will feel about that~

This is the USS North Carolina

This beautiful sun bathing Mermaid DOESN’T come with it the anchor…

Loved this building..the colors are so pretty

I found myself fascinated with these beautiful steeples , ‘ Aaron, pull over I see another one’ hhehehe

Our birthday morning…someone is making a birthday breakfast for Peri and I

There she is! One of the birthday girls…I love this picture!!

Pancakes for our birthday..sitting with my birthday girl…note the ‘candles’ on our cakes…hehehe. We had a fun morning

Peri is sooo excited! Her daddy is singing happy birthday to us. Cristy and Jade were already gone, they missed out on pancakes..

Then Peri visited with Auntie Boog and her new cousin Penelope

Daddy and Peri riding bikes in the neighborhood..pretty soon those training wheels will come off

Auntie Boog , look at my pretty helmet and shin guards :}

uuuuggggg, it is too hot for the shin guards, but she left the helmet on..good job Peri.

What a cutie!

‘SNUFFLE-UP-A-GUSS ‘  This is how they take care of their yard clippings..I thought this was brilliant!

It is time to go to school

We always enjoy our walk to the bus stop

This sweetie finds beauty even in a weed.

See you soon honey…

Too Much??

22 Jun

Well, almost all of this is out of my sister’s basement…

She and I unpacked ALL of these boxes and then separated items to keep and items to put aside for the ‘estate’ sale.We sure got plenty of exercise on these days, going up and down the basement stairs, hauling things to my car. This was much easier than trying to carry the heavy boxes upstairs. The remaining heavy things, like furniture pieces, will have to wait until Greg can be here to  carry them upstairs. He was still in CA working while we were doing this….A few weeks after we did this, a pipe burst in the basement and was causing a huge spray of water right in the direction of where the majority of my boxes had been! I was in CA at the time and R & R were not home ! YIKES…A plumber was called and the damaged pipe was fixed! No further damage in the basement, thankfully…just a bit of clean up. Note to self, BE SURE TO SHUT OFF THE WATER WHEN GOING AWAY FOR AWHILE…especially during the winter.. This is one of the new things I have had to learn for my own house…Here is a sample of some of the things I have unpacked…and unpacked and unpacked…

Soo , did you see anything you might be interested in???

Greg is re-organizing his garages. He will be oh so happy when the ‘estate’ items are gone!

Now to tackle the daunting job of  building shelves in the sewing closet. Thank goodness Greg can do the hard part…. Then I will organize it .

‘Whalah’  All organized and ready for sewing more Christmas stockings together, or mending or just any new project…

Finding a new home for all of the photo albums was interesting…especially since I wanted them in the same area and not spread out all over the house…as well as  needing to be in order by year …Awww..the good old days of film and developing ALL of our photos, and to think I even got doubles to have on hand , just in case !!!  Oy Vey!

HHmmmm, wonder if I  NEED to buy any more table cloths..

The ‘estate’ sale will be happening this summer sometime…come on over, we will be having donuts and coffee awaiting your arrival..

April Blessings~

3 May

What an April it has been!!! We have been blessed with our 3rd. granddaughter….

Her name is Penelope Mae LeSage…she was born at home,

        on April 2,2011 ~ 7.13oz. 21″~

Look at how beautiful Noelle looks, and this is just hours after she had Penelope..she is amazing . Penelope loves to sleep like this. She is a beautiful baby . She wakes up gently and cries only when she needs a diaper change. Watching her grow day by day is simply joyful .

Bella is introduced to Penelope…

She is standing guard.

Mommy loves her beautiful baby girl

Great Grandma Joan meets Penny

Grandpa and Penelope…with Mommy looking on

Look at this beautiful ‘sweet pea’…..

Uncle Josh was very excited to meet Penny,

He even sang a song to her to help her calm down…it worked!

Now the pass off to Nichole…oh my!! Are you ready Nikki ??

I love this one of her…what a beauty!

Noelle is a very calm and loving mommy…I love watching her with Penelope.

I was able to stay and help out the new family…I loved every minute of it..

Awwww…look at how pretty!

Robert is such a good daddy…he is very hands on and doesn’t even hesitate to change ANY diaper…

It was amazing to see how she changed from day to day, becoming more alert and even smiling at times…

Penelope sure loves to snuggle~

I soooo enjoyed and cherished holding her and singing her to sleep. I took MANY pictures like this while she was sleeping in my arms….{just ask my children and they will tell you about my picture taking}

Bella wanted to try out the new toy…

Such a snuggle bug…she does look a lot like her mommy…

Hi Grammy….

One morning when I showed up to their house this is what I found…’a lovely flower’, hahaha. Such a creative way of using the Boppy…

We so love our new granddaughter! Such a beauty

This is on Easter..my my my , look at how pretty she looks in her Easter outfit…but I think she is lovely in anything she has on…such a calm and happy sweet pea

Hello cousin, they are going to have so much fun together

Grandpa is holding hands with Penny..

All that reading made her sleepy

We are truly blessed.  Looking  forward to MANY more visits .

Zion National Park~ February 8,2011

22 Mar

Our next adventure was going to Zion National Park

Rayleen and Randy took Cheryl and I there. It was another beautiful day…I like these kind of hikes..they don’t involve any climbing !

Didn’t even attempt to walk on this path. Would have fallen for sure!

I think I need these steps in my backyard..haven’t even begun to landscape yet..

Rayleen, Me, and Cheryl

Our Tour Guides :Randy and Rayleen

This was for Greg , so he could see how close the deer are to us! I think they feel totally safe

This made me nervous! Glad I didn’t fall off of the path!

At the end of the hike

Cheryl, you are so strong

Since we did so good on our ‘hike’ we decided we needed to eat at, Oscar’s,This restaurant has awesome food!

MMMMMMmmmmmmm!!

As if that wasn’t enough , we HAD to have dessert!! This carrot cake arrived warm ! It was sooo good….[ we did only eat half of our burgers and saved it for the next day]

Would love to have this steeple  on my house..hahaha

This yard art was really cool! But the price was way too high for me!

We had a great time. Thanks R&R

Cheryl’s Visit~February 3, 2011

21 Mar

Cheryl and I have been best friends since we were 18 and 19 years old…she  came out to Utah to  visit me . We had a really fun time.

Nancy, Cheryl and I went to  Brian Head. This was my first time there. Nancy and  Cheryl have been there many times.. Cheryl and her family have skied there….no snow skiing for me. I will just watch .

Standing in front of Pizano’s Pizza…

This Pizza from Pizano’s was awesome…saved some for the next day.

Lodging

This bridge is new, allowing the skiers to get from one side to the other

Beautiful Sky

On our way down the mountain we even saw some HooDoo’s

These look so cool

Made a stop at  Southern Utah University. Cheryl is standing in front of  The Centurium. It is a tribute to some of the great thinkers from the past.

This is called ‘Old Sorrel’. A legendary horse which helped settlers build Cedar City

We then went down town to Main St. and walked across holding the flag, which is what you are supposed to do while crossing the street…Cheryl wasn’t very happy about this , she felt bad making the drivers stop just so we could walk across the street…hahaha

We  then ventured out to an area that Nancy and I have been to before. It was REALLY muddy! In addition to the snow on the ground….Put the car in 4 wheel drive and continued on…not wanting to stop at all. Almost took a wrong turn and then had to turn around in the DEEP mud and snow…whew…made it out safely without having to get out and push the car!

I should have taken a close up of all of the mud on my car ! There was even mud on the windshield..haha

Finally out of harms way and on to the car wash…which wasn’t working correctly. The owner had to come out and fix it…I think we woke him up, Note his pajamas! hahaha
